He was in the same year as me at school, and he certainly smelled of it then. He was always in the ‘special’ sets, and spent him time painting class room radiators.
Darren Orme is one of the BEST latic’s fans going!
I remember back in the early 90’s, it was always a battle between him and Danny Kennedy who would get the ‘fan of the year’ award.
Remember being stood near him and his uncle at Bury in about 1991. This bloke in front of us kept on shouting stuff, and his uncle kept on copying and repeating everything. This guy kept on glancing round and eventually he said, in a loud voice “I’ve geet a f*ckin parrot on me shoulder!” This evoked much laughter from people.
I think we won 4-1 with a screamer from Joe Parkinson included.
