23 March 2010 at 1:01 am #27384I hope you’ve not popped round your Sisters again, we don’t want to risk you having a Burnley fan between you !

23 March 2010 at 12:14 pm #27405“Remember 2006/07? We’d beaten Man City in March and we were on 32 points and 6 above the bottom 3, and seemingly save after a hard season. Yet I think we all know that we had to rely on a last day win to secure survival”
I reminded a mate of that on Saturday night when he started to go on about how we were now safe from relegation

I agree totally.
We now have two very hard away games, at City and Fulham, and might not get a point. The next home game V Portsmouth, is just as important as the Burnley game. Win that, and I will relax a little more. The main thing is that we make ourselves mathematically safe, before it get’s into a ‘free for all’ with a couple of games left. If we can go into that Hull game with it not mattering if we win or lose, we’ll have done really well. Let’s be honest, if Chelsea need a win on the last day, realistically we won’t have a chance.
Worst case scenario over next couple of games will be that we get nothing, but Hull and Burnley pull something ‘out of the bag’. But if they don’t, and we can get the gap between us and relegation to 10 points going into the West Ham game, we’ll already be safe.
