Since like many I cant afford both I have to make a choice. No brainer its County. I still love the FA Cup and it is something especially this year that we have a chance of winning. I just think as a fan I have to get behind the team in such an important game. The league for most of the time is boreing and overkilled with razamataz and the thought of getting to Wembley and the prestiege that would give us is mind blowing. In the league we are there making up the numbers and at best we push for ten or so wins out of 38 games and chuck in a few draws and Whelan hits the jackpot again, we sell a couple more players and then fight against relegation again next season. But the cup that is alive with memories and hope, and at the end of the day there are plenty more league games to see this season.
Beating County could mean paying 40 quid for a ticket at Fulham + the rest to see us get hammered. Then people say “i’m not going to our next away match, i’ve spent enough in mid-week on Fulham away.
Everton are a team I love so so so so much to beat,more than all other clubs in the World because my Dad’s a Everton fan. If he ever goes Wigan v Everton i’m giving him & his mates the finger singing anti-scouse songs. So for me I would like to get at least a point on Saturday & to beat County convincingly with the appearance of Gomez, Scotland, Amaya & Watson in the starting 11.
Everton without a doubt-always a highlight and the first time it has fell on a saturday!
Proper old fashioned football club with decent passionate supporters and i have a good feeling it might be our day.
Contrast that with the Notts county replay two bored apathetic teams ‘trying’ to win the ‘prize’ of playing Dulham away and a probable defeat.
