I said we would win this game it was just a gut feeling and I have the same feeling about next weeks game against the scousers.24 February 2013 at 1:31 am #103930What a difference a couple of wins make lets hope that another one next week will really show what this squad is capable of goodpost
24 February 2013 at 3:28 pm #103943Excellent all round performance and Villa and Qpr results make it even sweeter. No reason why we can’t nail Liverpool next week who always look beatable. Then let’s go for gold and grab a Wembley weekend.Once again well done !!!
24 February 2013 at 11:13 pm #103962We just need to keep the diver under check for 90 mins and that will be half the battle won. :woohoo:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!25 February 2013 at 1:16 am #103977Piece of piss that game, I was quite confident after Uddersfield last week but we totally dominated them after 1-0. Very very accomplished performance that showed a lot of maturity that the likes of Man Utd would possess. Extremely happy with the attacking play and have to agree that Kone is an exceptional threat. Problem is that he will be gone next year, Heard a rumour on the old grapevine that Liverpool already have a deal in place to sign him next season.
10m Please.
25 February 2013 at 1:34 am #103979It wont be a big surprise if it happens, we know the script now and having a decent January window with none of our big names going out will be the thing that saves us each season.
No doubt the summer exodus will happen and Bobby will hopefully have some replacements lined up.
The likes of Kone, Di Santo and McCarthy will get their big moves and the law of averages will mean they will not get enough game time with their new clubs and go the way of Chimbonda, Palacios, Bullard, Ellington, Roberts, Heskey etc etc etc.
There are some players who have done well for themselves after leaving us Baines, Valencia and more recently Moses, but these are exceptions rather than the norm.If they listen to what Bobby tells them and be patient, they will get their big move when the time is right for them and the club. B)

What a journey!25 February 2013 at 2:21 am #103982Was good to finally get some rub of the green as well because Caldwell definitely handled the ball for our first and admitted it afterwards !
25 February 2013 at 3:19 am #103991Thought Dowd did a decent job, couple of things missed, but generally got the big decisions right.
As soon as that tackle went in on Figgs I turned to my mate and said straight red. Thought he was going to bottle it for a moment but did the right thing.
It just shows you though how hyped up you can get after and during the game, McDermott said in his post match interview, that they were two down at the time of the sending off and that cost um the third.

I am personally liking the look of Kone since he came back from the cup.. But I think people should calm down a little, had a good game thats all. People were slating him (myself included) before he went!
25 February 2013 at 11:38 pm #104037Aye. Despite having Suarez, Sturridge, Borini and Coutinho Liverpool are gonna spend big money on Kone. Rodgers spends money on young players for the future generally. Not journeymen in their 30s!
