20 June 2019 at 3:11 pm #179282Is that Lancaster City away in the FA Trophy? 1973/74 season?

20 June 2019 at 5:00 pm #179285As I’ve said elsewhere, a fabulous photo.
Imagine supporters celebrating like that today. Off to the cop shop straight away methinks :)
20 June 2019 at 5:48 pm #179287I’d love to see that kit recreated sometime soon, with an xxl fitting for normal people.
How was a photographer allowed so close to the pitch? His flares are nearly in the six yard box!

21 June 2019 at 10:25 pm #179293I know many many of us will say it, but “I was there” if that’s the game we won 2-0 and the “terracing” was made up of stacked wooden pallets.
That jazzy strip (it was certainly a bit fancy at the time) went a good few unbeaten I seem to recall…also pretty sure it was a bit lively off the pitch at Giant Axe that day and n the way back to the coaches !
21 June 2019 at 11:05 pm #179294Will anyone own up to being the fan jumping in the air?
21 June 2019 at 11:57 pm #179295I seem to remember being on the side at the back and that could be us jumping up with arms in the air.
There was a temporary stand up at Giant Axe that day too which some of our non league hooligans set fire to. Didn’t have tight fitting poncy girl jeans and prickish hairstyles back then either.22 June 2019 at 1:10 am #179297Before my memory that and have no recollection of the kit. Great picture.i have a great old picture from springy on my phone, how do I post it?
22 June 2019 at 1:46 am #179298A legend and one of the all time Latics heroes scoring and turning to celebrate. The great John Rogers. What a fab era. Rogers, King, Worswick, fantastic.
