Is there enough “substance” here for you in the report in the Independant Newspaper of 9th July 2011
“Villa approached Wigan chairman Dave Whelan about Martinez last week. He granted them permission, having offered the 37-year-old a contract extension, and resigned himself to losing the individual he has described as the best young manager in Europe. But Martinez has indicated in the last 24 hours that he feels duty-bound to pursue the role he has been given for Whelan for at least another year“.
I will also include the link just to “back up” the “one liner that hasn’t been thought through”
btw just to save you taxing your brain by reading all the article, its the second paragraph.

I think you missed the point about the constant jibes against Bob and how the majority on here wish that people would have substance to their arguments, not just the best manager in europe bit. There is an opportunity to go and debate such issues with Bob, like team selection, fortmation etc. I doubt many would have the balls to do it….

They just wouldn’t have the brains to string together a polite, reasoned, non-sarcastic, non-insulting argument.
And if they did, when they receive back the inevitable party line, outwardly posistive spin from Bob, they’ll just say he’s a daft Spanish c*** anyway and so what’s the point listening to him?
That’s why they won’t go.
And anyway, you have to be a member of the supporter’s club to get in and as none of them are what you’d really call decent supporters, they won’t go.
