If you knew me you would realise that I never watch the game through blue tinted glasses. If you ask my mate who sits next to me in games, he will tell you that I always give a balanced view on the game. I disagreed with my mate and lad after the game when they said we was unlucky not to get something, I replied the only thing we were lucky not to get was hammered by 5 or 6 goals.
I still believe after watching the clip again that the Wigan Player was getting back, the city player was almost stood still when the hand ball occurred and if he had latched onto it, he still had a lot to do before getting in a goal scoring opportunity.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!17 January 2012 at 10:29 pm #78537Sorry I was wrong, there were two Wigan players that may have got back to make a tackle before Aguero got anywhere near the box.

What a journey!17 January 2012 at 10:45 pm #78538The sooner Fig goes to left wing back with less defensive duties the better. He is dangerous going forward but sometimes in defence he plays like a 6 year old.He also passes the ball like 6 year old, or he’s colour blind, or both.
But apart from him not being able to tackle, being frequently caught out of position, constantly giving the ball away, liable to panic and make the wrong decision, he’s not a bad player!17 January 2012 at 10:48 pm #78539The sooner Fig goes to left wing back with less defensive duties the better. My post was a tad ironic but nevertheless I’m wondering why you thought he was any better than Caldwell or Alcaraz last night?18 January 2012 at 12:01 am #78544The sooner Fig goes to left wing back with less defensive duties the better. What the fuck was he doing when City scored??? if you can’t win the header at least make sure the striker can’t.
18 January 2012 at 12:19 am #78545I’m better than CaldwellThat, I find very hard to believe.
We’ve already had Griff say he was better than Gohouri a couple of weeks ago – and I thought that was touch and go.
18 January 2012 at 12:57 am #78550We need someone decent to coach our defence and we need to bolster said defence in this transfer window it is plain to see from anyone who has a basic grasp of football !! The defending for their goal was laughable in my view ! I was quite a distance away in the East Stand and even I noticed Dzeko completely unmarked as the free kick was about to be taken. Unfortunately my prediction at that time due to said bad marking came true !!
No I didn’t say ” I told you so “to all around me, I just slumped back into my seat shaking my head in disbelief !!18 January 2012 at 1:01 am #78552Caldwell just aint good enough but at least he tries and looks like he cares.
Alcarez at times looks like he could be good enough but .. reverse the bit above!!
18 January 2012 at 1:22 am #78558Fair play to him for doing it, he knew he was stuffed dont think it was a red card though.. like The Gary Caldwell Aeroplane against Stoke needed to be done!
