Did you know that this season’s strike rate for goal scoring is the worst in 22 years! ( I only went back as far as 93/94 season ) Twice in the Prem we scored just 34 goals but pro rata that is still worse, 0.89 per game as opposed to this season’s paltry 0.84 ! If this barren spell was to continue in League One re goal scoring can I just point out that only Yeovil scored less than 39 goals this season! The site I used for these stats only went back to the 93/94 season so if anyone can name the year that we last had a strike rate less than 0.84 I would be interested to find out just how long ago it was if ever! Perhaps the Kenny Swain era reaped less goals in a season?
Worst in our history surely. The 93/94 season was the Swain era! Given the situation Swain inherited this gives perspective to the season just gone.
Letting lads like this go, is where we went wrong. Malky said we needed triers, this mon picks up another award from another club, yet we let him go there on loan. Crazy.

Crazy.Me and the lad I go on with both agreed that Tavernier looked a decent player and that he would have been a great asset especially with Boyce not getting any younger, yet we were left baffled and bemused by the decision to send him out on loan? Can anyone offer any explanation? One of many baffling and downright idiotic decisions that were made last season!!
Because he was poor for us and we needed him off the wage bill?If they’re the reasons it’s a wonder we had enough players to send a team out.
