Anybody fished wrightington fisheries? Is it any good?
Fished charity farm and it was dog crap.
Also if anyone can recommend any other places around the Wigan/Preston area I would be greatful.

CheersCharity Farm is a ridiculously easy fish if you are any good at fishing. Always has been for at least the past 13 years! All 4 ponds are stocked and you can be active all day there. No idea when you went or what you fished with!
Wrightington is OK but isn’t the best (Nowhere near the size of OR amount of fish that charity has) but suppose it would appeal to people who don’t want an easy fish.**
**If you thought Charity was dog crap (Very easy), and struggled there, I am guessing you will struggle anywhere, maybe get some more on very easy ponds until you move up?

Not too far then. My fishing escapades have reduced drastically over the last few years with having a little one now, used to go every weekend bright and early at 5am on a Saturday (Or Sunday when the Lads were at home). I predominantly focus purely on Specialist Carp fishing, so will google this place now and see what I find. Thanks Maj.
18 January 2017 at 4:59 pm #154314Even closer to Martin Mere is Sefton Lakes but don’t know how it fishes. Lots of guys off Riverside fish Bannisters and reckon its teeming with all sorts.
