Looked like 4-4-2 till sending off. Flat back 4. Elder, Burn,Dunkley and Byrne.

Well so long as midfielder’s are getting forward in numbers then there isn’t a lot of difference and from the look of Powell’s goal he was pushing up with others too which is great whatevers on paper.
Pompey fans did say Cook had a different approach in home and away games.It was a million miles away from 4-4-2 tonight.Yip until Luke Burke got cramp and played the nuiscance dummy forward role. :huh:

What a journey!It was worth it to give him a run out. He had a couple of good balls to run on to but other than that he was feeding off scraps. Maybe this was because Blackpool were by far the better side and our midfield were pushed deeper I don’t know but they were not coming forward in numbers to support and assist Grigg.

What’s the point in that?
