Heard this morning that Gerrard flicked a V sign at the ref last night? Did anyone else see this?
Also how bad was Torres tackle on Boycie should have been a straight red imo.
What are they odds there is no action taken against these two by the FA?9 March 2010 at 12:16 pm #25788Replays have shown that Gerrard did seem to make a v sign towards the ref after he booked him and the Torres tackle was just frustration, it wasn’t a sending off BUT he did that much moaning to the ref all game and kicked the ball away on 2 occasions. Valencia got sent off for less than that when we played at anfield last season.

Can understand why he was frustrated though as he was made to look like a pub player by a 19 year old unknown and a player who was in the Spanish 2nd division last year
9 March 2010 at 2:07 pm #25812I saw that at the time but as it happened that quick & the ref did nowt & the commentators didn’t pick up on it I assumed he’d just done a dismissive “wave” at him
If the ref says he didn’t see it then it should be a red for “foul & abusive language”.
They’ll do bugger all though

Of course he wont get punished for it, I don’t believe he should do either, Id be very very upset if one of our players did it and got charged for it. Worse things have gone unpunished.
Also the Torres tackle was a booking at tops, never a red in a million years.
