Interesting dilemma for Gary tomorrow.
Clearly Juusi is our number 1 keeper, O’Donnell’s confidence is now shot to bits, and Nicholls is out on loan but having a few ‘mare moments himself.
Knowing that Juusi may not be fit, available or whatever for every match we play from now to the end of the season, does Gary try to give O’Donnell a chance to redeem himself with a place in the starting lineup tomorrow night, or does he pick the safer pair of hands of Juusi, but risk then knocking O’D’s confidence so much that if/when he is needed he is a bag of nerves?
O’Donnell is going to have to try to regain his confidence sooner or later, so I would throw him straight back in tomorrow, the longer we leave it, the harder it will be for him to come back in.
I completely agree. But we all know that if he is picked tomorrow the keyboard warriors will be out in force on Facebook and Twitter – and maybe here – with their valued opinions.

Jussi isn’t faultless either from what I’ve seen but goalkeepers make mistakes just look at England’s no1 a week ago v Norwich.

Why drop him in the first place then?Maybe I’m being optimistic here in believing this is a serious post and not a wind-up but maybe the answer is because he was consistently under performing?
