You sir… Are making me yawn. Great performance by the lads. Great win, And if Boyce performs like that more often I will be made to eat my words about him not being good enough now… he was outstanding, definate contender for MOTM, one of the best performances I have seen from a right back this year, got forward well and defended well. Good job lads. ;)

Then in my opinion, you know nothing. ;) I was watching Martinez when Scharner gave the ball away/let the ball go past him again and immediately called for Gomez. I am sure the instruction tio him was to keep possession better.
He only changed his mind because Diame got injured, as you say. If we’d had another sub available, I reckon Gomez would still have come on, not least because Scharner was injured himself.

Im not moaning or criticizing the performance. It was great! And to see the players finally click together like that was magic to watch. But he lost us the game against Stoke when he came on. Martinez’s loyalty towards him is baffling. Why he thought of bringing him on when Thomas was on the bench is equally baffling!In my opinion Koumas is alot better player and he doesnt even get a look in on the bench now a days.
Koumas has had countless chances to impress and always failed to deliver, Gomez might not have shown much yet but deserves the same opportunities Koumas has already had.
I bet he’s not on a quarter of Koumas’s wage either, biggest waste of money to ever pull on the shirt.So am I the only one seeing that Gomez cant keep possession for jack!
It would appear so, yes. Gomez keeping possession (for the team, not in the sense of needing his own ball) by moving sideways and backwards when required is precisely why many of the Wigan crowd havegot on his back.In my opinion Koumas is alot better player and he doesnt even get a look in on the bench now a days.
At least Gomez tries.
