Undeserved
It seems all you have to do to stay here is play badly constantly. He will never improve here and giving him a new deal is a step backwards imo. That means if we somehow stay up again then next season he is just willing to use the same mistake ridden players again next term. And if people say he has done it for the Championship then im afraid that is not good enough. short sighted and yet another lack of ambition. I wish i got thousands a week for being rubbish at my job.
30 March 2012 at 1:04 pm #84277Well he is our top scorer Yosser!
What does that say about our strike force?
Although if Caldwell keeps up his scoring exploits he might find himself in pole position.

I agree yosser lets chalk off those four goals he has scored and take away the points they earned
30 March 2012 at 1:20 pm #84280Missing the point. Who cares about a midfielder banging a few penalties in. That doesn’t make him worthy of a deal. If that is the case i might ask for a deal, I can rattle the net from the spot.
Im talking about his play in general. You know im right, Im not angling for an argument and it’s my last word on the subject. All i do these days is just jump in occasionally with a view. So there is mine.30 March 2012 at 1:33 pm #84281Missing the point. Who cares about a midfielder banging a few penalties in. That doesn’t make him worthy of a deal. So there is mine.Well, your view is clearly the polar opposite of Roberto’s and it’s his call, not yours. Good to hear you’ll be saying no more on the subject though. ‘)
30 March 2012 at 1:51 pm #84285FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
30 March 2012 at 1:58 pm #84287I guess securing his signature for a while longer will give Bob the options he needs because lets face it we don’t know what league we will be in next season ! Gomez is a decent Championship standard player and in my opinion would be an asset should we go down !
30 March 2012 at 2:30 pm #84296Agreed. If we start letting players go now then we’ll have the crtics piling in with “who are we going to sign?” and “we’ve got no players”.
30 March 2012 at 2:47 pm #84298As far as scapegoat’s go there is a handfull of players higher up the list than Gomez.
Alcaraz and Caldwell for making school boy defensive errors to throw 3 points away at vital moments.
or how about for Diame for missing 2 absolute sitters 2 games on the trot that Stephen Hawking could of put away.
Mccarthy in my opinion hasnt stepped his game up this season.
And Di Santo is still not scoring despite having numerous chances and doing everything else in his game brilliantly.
Feck it I’ll even throw GOhouri in there for good measure.
12 Goals in 44 games in the championship aint too shabby either.
30 March 2012 at 6:42 pm #84311Gomez is by far the worst player currently in the Premiership and will be one of the worst next in the Championship. His movement is too slow, his descision making is too slow, cant or wont tackle and dives everywhere. He marks the referee out of most games tho. Get rid and take Martinez + co with him.
30 March 2012 at 6:45 pm #84312Gomez isn’t even the worst player in our team
30 March 2012 at 6:50 pm #84313He is, by far. Him in the team takes me back to the Kenny Swain era.
30 March 2012 at 7:02 pm #84315Hendry Thomas
Steve Gohouri
Connor Sammon
Franco Di Santo
Ben Watson
Dave JonesThese are all poorer footballers than Gomez, in my opinion…….
and you can’t have watched the Kenny Swain era with a comment like that.
30 March 2012 at 7:04 pm #84316He is, by far. Him in the team takes me back to the Kenny Swain era.Nothing like a bit of exaggeration is there?
