10 April 2010 at 1:51 pm #29154Cloudy Lane and State of Play.
I will also be backing an outsider and maybe a favorite, not made my mind up yet.
10 April 2010 at 1:53 pm #291551st choice- Maljimar
2nd- Character Building
3rd- Arbor Supreme
4th- Irish Raptor
5th- Erics Charm
6th- BallyfitzNow if I dont get a return from any of those then I give up !! Maljimar at 33s or above is a cracking EW bet I feel !
10 April 2010 at 1:57 pm #29156By the way my choices are based on the fact that 7 yr olds very rarely win the national last one was 1940 ! Also 75% of national winners have never raced in the national prior to their victories ! Lastly I feel horses carrying less than 11st have a more realistic chance of success. Good luck folks ! :)

Black Apalachi
both e/w10 April 2010 at 8:13 pm #29165:lol: so are you giving up phil as not one of your selections came in the top 5
10 April 2010 at 9:33 pm #29170I had a fiver on Flintoff to win at 66/1. Surprisingly he didn’t win, or finish in the top 3. In fact I don’t know where he finished. Would have loved it if he’d won though.

11 April 2010 at 3:25 pm #29205Haha I wouldn’t be surprised.
I did put a bet on this horse the other week though, it came in at 20 to 1.
Unfortunately the rest finished at half past.
I’ll get me coat
12 April 2010 at 2:12 pm #29253Thanks to my idiocy I put 2 bets on Don’t Push It (£2 e/w & £2.50 e/w) instead of putting the £2.50 e/w on Ballyholland as I’d meant to.
However the functioning part of my brain remembered to tick the “Take board price” option & I got odds of 22/1 as opposed to the 10/1 it finished at
The £132.75 that this brought in made Saturday night that bit more enjoyable!!
