I remember 2 being scored in the same game by Preston in a 3-3 draw back in 98/99ish at Springfield Park being ones that have always stuck in my mind (more so than the Henry one you’re on about)

I think the game you’re on about against Preston at Springfield park finished 1 – 1. Liddell scored a cracking overhead but David Eyres scored an even better first time volley from the corner of the penalty area.
Steven Reid for Blackburn sticks out, In fact all 3 Blackburn’s goals that day were terrific. Seem to remember Mark Stallard scoring for Notts County in the last minute to end Filan’s clean sheet run. We won about 7-1 or something daft and he went potty as it was the first one let in in about 7 games. But if i remember rightly it was a peach.
That and any goal by Andy Liddell
When I saw the title of the thread I immediately thought Thierry Henry’s freekick.
But see that meatnprater has started us off with that one. I’m sticking with it though.
Nothing sticks out from Springfield Park though, I remember Matt Carragher scoring an intended half way liner in a reserve match.
Steven Reid for me as well. If that shot had gone wide it would have knocked out the person that copped for it ! No keeper in the World would have stopped that one !!

Reid’s goal was the best struck spanking of a football ive ever seen from 30-35 yrds.

I remember Glyn Snodin scoring a 90th minute screamer from about 30 yards for Doncaster, in as soon as he hit it.

Jorg Smeets vs (neck on the line) Brentford in a 4-0 win and i think he scored two. Remember him crashing one in from about 30 yards. If i have remembered all that correctly i have the best brain in the business.
Now if that statement isn’t open to abuse i don’t know what is.
