13 August 2010 at 3:46 pm #42277“No-one likes us….we don’t care!”
Obviously a Millwall song. But we should sing this as well.
Nobody is giving us a chance this season…..
Good. Let’s stick it to em by having a good season and even challenging for a Europa League place.
“They wouldn’t like it up em….Capt Mainwaring!”
I think we’ll ALL have to learn to IGNORE this tripe that keeps getting trotted out.
13 August 2010 at 3:49 pm #42278Typical article that even talks about storys they make up. The whole point of us being in the premiership is we can, if football were a closed shop then we wouldnt have promotion and relegation. Wigan showed that a team from nowhere, without spending on players (net over 6 years), Incase people want the facts:
http://www.transferleague.co.uk/
a small club can make it, and that is the hope and dreams of all football fans. Maybe if the media encouraged people from outside their paper circulation then the game wouldnt be in such debt as it is today. They should use us as a example of how to do it !
13 August 2010 at 4:08 pm #42286Good to see we’ve got so much support from other fans. Usual lazy journo. We’ll just have to prove him wrong and get up the journo’s noses for another season. Bring it on!!!!
13 August 2010 at 4:26 pm #42288On the plus side, Wigan beat Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool last year so Martínez must be doing something right. If they had only been able to manage to beat Hull, Portsmouth and Wolves at home they would have finished towards the middle of the table and enjoyed a far more comfortable run-in. It has still to be established whether Martínez is the ideal manager of a team who will inevitably find themselves battling relegation, although he can only be admired for attempting to rise above it rather than resorting to Mick McCarthy or Sam Allardyce-type pragmatism.
13 August 2010 at 4:43 pm #42291Look at the comments below the article, there in support of Wigan. :o

13 August 2010 at 7:42 pm #42309This guy used to be the Thugby Post’s Warriors reporter and his hatred for us even then made Peter Aspinall look like Tics mon.

According to Wigan, this is due to the proximity of many north-west clubs and with the town having a bigger rugby league following.
13 August 2010 at 8:15 pm #42313Kev, i read the actually FourFourTwo article on the season ticket prices last night and in there they even said “Wigan officials” had told them it was down to us having so many neighbouring clubs and the rugby having a bigger following.
13 August 2010 at 9:03 pm #42316Another journo with absolute no experience in the football world trying to fit in with his useless over paid journo friends! I bet he’s one of the worst kind of fans in England…… A southerner supporting Man Utd!!

Newcastle UnitedChris Hughton has worked miracles by hauling the original sleeping giant back into the Premier League. Keeping them there will ensure he becomes the 47th Geordie Messiah since Phillipe Albert chipped Peter Schmeichel and everyone on Tyneside thought they were going to win the Premier League.

Thought that was lazy journalism?!
Which means that he’d got bored by the time he got to W.
Nothing to do with our team, or Roberto’s position vis a vis Dave Whelan – instead a lazy journo being paid by the word, who’d reached his limit around about Stoke.
The alphabet can be a cruel thing in football
14 August 2010 at 12:19 am #42333Didn’t Sheff Wed get regularly spanked in the Championship last year? Haven’t Palace conceded 9 in a league game before? (Ah yes – so they have “Record League defeat: 0-9 v Liverpool (a), 12 September 1990, Division One”)
Thanks for coming Mr…………………. Ah who gives a sh*t. See you next season.
