Don’t ask me why but I was just reading the match report from the Wigan and Burnley game and according to the sun Kirkland went beserk when the ball went in and started celebrating and cheering in front of the Burnley fans. Nice one Chris
27 March 2010 at 6:03 pm #27705I respect him more for that, but still think he is not good enough :)
27 March 2010 at 7:43 pm #27713Good for him ! Top keeper, seems like a nice bloke and level headed and ……………. even when he played for England, I can’t remember him saying he’s too good for this club and should be playing for someone massive, unlike some that would have.
I’ve seen that Calamity James clip again James, he’s not watching the ball and is completely at fault, if a ball hits a divot a player may not strike it as sweetly as he’d wanted but he should still hit it, row zz is fine from a keeper. What was Calamity doing for the last goal which Lampard scored, Lampard was stood about 2 feet from James and the ball took about 5 seconds ish to come down, James stayed rooted and Lampard scored an unchallenged header, he must not go to the World Cup !
I would probably take Newcastle’s Harper to the World Cup, shouldn’t have played so long in Shay Givens shadow IMO, should have gone elsewhere.27 March 2010 at 7:48 pm #27714The only problem with your argument that blames James for the failing to kick it is that you are wrong. Also he should be Englands number 1 at the world cup.
Harper shouldn’t go and neither should CK

I’m not going to convince you James, we’ll have disagree on this one pal.
27 March 2010 at 8:46 pm #27730Fair enough. Just think that for a keeper who you think should be in the England squad (kirkland).. He doesn’t bring much to the table.
Think James brings a lot more (bar mistakes of corse)29 March 2010 at 5:51 pm #27926http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/ … 079649.ece
