Rodallega goal aginst West Ham – HANDBALL AND WE LOST THE GAME!!!!- good goal, highThe point was that it was said there were only three highs this season, when I get home from work I will sit down and scrutinise every game if you want* and I gurantee I will find lots more highs and certainly more than I would construe as ‘many or very many’.
You can have more than one high per game you know?

* I clearly won’t as I have much better things to do with my life.
At the end of the day the only ‘high’ that matters, is the fact that we are still in the Premier League.
We set off with the intention to stay there and have achieved this quite comfortably in the end.
The season is over, there have been a few highs, but too many lows, lets just hope we have learned something over the season, and we can move to the next level???
August will bring a new season with new players and with it renewed optimism. I for one am looking forward to it already. Not.Bloody hell Saredt – every goal Latics score is a high to me but when I hear our manager say “now is the time to look back on a season of many highs” I’m not expecting him to be referring to every goal his team have scored
I’m expecting him to be referring to real out of the ordinary things like the victories against Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool not defeats to Hull & Wolves, or goals scored in games that we drew or lost in, or run of the mill victories against fellow relegation strugglersLike I said you set your criteria a hell of alot lower than that & if I used those same criteria to bring up lows I’d be mentioning Keogh’s goal for Wolves, a 1-0 home defeat to Wolves, Rooney’s 2 goals for United, berbatov’s goal for United, Owen’s goal for United, Nani’s goal for United, a 2nd half collapse against United, a 5-0 defeat against United, Demontagnac’s goal for Blackpool, Burgess’s goal for Blackpool, Adam’s goal for Blackpool, Taylor-Fletcher’s goal for Blackpool, gettign beat 4-1 by a team from a lower division, going out of the carling cup at the first hurdle to a lower league side etc… – All these & I’m only 4 games into the season!!!! ;)
