15 September 2017 at 10:09 am #161921A cultured left foot, was how he was usually described.
If you could choose a song for him at this time it would have to be
Bringing on back the good times.

15 September 2017 at 11:41 am #161922I remember him vaguely as he played during the time I was gradually switching my allegiance from being a ST holder at Old Trafford so I just went to games when me & my dad couldn’t get to a United away game.
Anyway, what sticks in my mind above anything he was capable of on the football field was the amount of grief that he used to get from the crowd every time something he tried didn’t quite work out.
Even my dad who was just dragged along by me & didn’t have an allegiance to Latics, commented that he was bar far the most skillful player on the team yet got stick, from some, from start to finish15 September 2017 at 12:54 pm #161923I was 13/14 when he first played for us. I remember the older generation used to get frustrated with him at times. But he had one of the best left foot’s i have ever seen from a latics player.

Lol
Why did football pundits use the term cultured? Why not just say he had a bloody good left peg.
15 September 2017 at 9:46 pm #161928Remember him scoring in the first 10 minutes at Deepdale, where just about nothing happened for the remaining 80 minutes on what I think
