They are selling them two half scarf thingys; PNE Vs Arsenal.
A salesman asked me “fancy a scarf, pal; celebrating the game against Arsenal”. I replied “na, already got twenty”. “How come” he said. “I support a legendary team; the mighty Tics, fookin sick of playing Arsenal; PAL !”
Preston North End were formed in 1863; as a cricket club.
Later changing to the Rugbu Union code in 1877; before changing to association football.28 December 2016 at 12:32 am #153532Anyone wearing a half and half scarf should be ceremonially sliced in two
28 December 2016 at 12:59 am #153534Get it for big games that might never happen again but they sell them every week in Prem. Who wants a Utd v city scarf?
28 December 2016 at 6:51 pm #153539I can understand to a certain extent the Latics fans who may have purchased them for the European games a few years back as they were one off fixtures which are not likely to ever take place again, but for FA Cup games against so called ‘big teams’ which could happen any year is a bit sad.
I suppose when you are a ‘big club’ like us, who have played all the other ‘big clubs’ so many times over the last few years it wouldn’t feel like a big game anyway.
Little clubs like Knob End, who only witness playing the ‘big clubs’ occasionally will be able to dress themselves up like xmas trees when they come out of the woodwork and dream for a day at least, what it must be like to be a ‘big club’. Maybe the had PNE/Latics split scarves earlier in the season.
Lets face it, the memories of the last time they had any success must have faded completely by now, so a home tie against Arsenal will revive memories of their 1899 Division One success when 16 teams competed in matches with no referees, crossbars or proper rules.
Let them have their day in the spotlight with their Arsenal scarves donned around their necks, they’ll look so cute.
Anyone want a Latics/Forest split scarf? I thought not.

Have you not got a Latics/Chubbies split shirt egg?
30 December 2016 at 2:25 am #153574No mate. Hard to get my XXXXXXL rugby one complete with gravy stains to match my medium latics one.

Front forwards for Latics matches and the egg bit being so big would keep your arse warm, and turn it round for chubby matches and use all the excess material to catch your gravy and pastry crumbs, whilst looking normal from behind. -
