I am in my 3rd year of insurance now and am currently paying £800 a year…1st year was 1600 2nd was 1000……. This is on what I think is a group 4 Insurance car…. I am looking to buy a new car and the Lotus Elise has caught my eye (02 reg and older of course due to price) and so has the Mazda RX8… These cars are group 17 and 16 respectively. I dont really have an issue with the amount i have to pay for Insurance as long as it isnt silly money (3000 is probably too much)… Does anybody have any idea or just have a rough number of what i might be looking to have to spend on insurance for these cars… I am 20 years of age and also never get any sense from Confused.com etc as they seem to get it wrong a lot (quoted me at 2,500+ was the minimum id have to pay for my 1st year and soon as i rang somewhere it was cheaper)…Thanks in advance

I’ve got an RX-8, insurance costs £500. I’m over 57.
BTW, it’s 5 years old, only done 21k, I’ve had it from new and if you make me a sensible offer you can have it. Forgot to mention it’s blue.
What would you think is a sensible offer. Do you have all the papers etc. I have seen an 04 reg at carcraft for 13K, Saying that Carcraft is massively overpriced and i have seen them available for 6.5k (only 03 reg though) what were you thinking?
