Who would hope we tried to sign?
Matt Etherington from Stoke, Jack Collison from West Ham, possibly Jon Arne Riise from Fulham. That’s the left side covered. Even if it was just 1 year contracts. 2 out of the 3 have a wealth of experience & Jack has already been at the club.That Samuel Eto wouldn’t be a bad signing….
Failing that, Macheda from Man U, Chu Young Park from Arsenal, Marc Albrighton from Villa, Velios from Everton are the ones that spring out at me and could be within the realms of possibility.

I’d agree that Samuel Eto would be a very good addition to the squad, also you are right to advise counsel on our aspirations when it comes to the summer signings. We must keep “within the realms of possibility” and not expect Messi, Van Persi et al.
Good shouts on Macheda & Albrighton. Both young lads with a lot to prove. They are also experienced in the Premier League.
Another good up & coming player would be Michael NGoo. I’m sure Uwe could get him firing on all cylinders.
Personally I thought Collison was woeful in his time here.I don’t believe you are alone in that thought ! He looks like he wasn’t interested.

And Macheda has signed for Cardiff this morning.
Will see Use’s appetite to stay this summer and build a legacy, but I think Chairman Dave’s war chest (first mention this summer !) will be the key for me. We can’t sniff around loans and cheap Scottish left backs for me…
