From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!2003/2004 around this exact time we hammered Palace live on Sky 5-0. Their Manager was sacked from the stands and Iain Dowie took over.
Fast forward to May and they make the playoffs and win promotion.
It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility. Barnsley did it last season as well.
We reckon Newcastle and Leeds are deluded, we get one very lucky win and promotion is on the cards. Get sensible lads we are struggling at the present and we could easily get nowt from next three games. Lets not get carried away we are still very much involved in a relegation scrap and while optimism is ok lets keep a reality check here.
I don’t think we’ll go up I’m just saying it’s happened before.Oh I know that egg marrer all I’m saying is that we have been pretty poor in yoothas 3 games albeit getting a draw and a lucky win and the next 3 games are bloody difficult. I will be ecstatic if we start improving over the next few weeks but one swallow etc . A few are already getting carried away after Huddersfield but I’m just still a bit concerned and the managers team selection has me baffled. I want to be wrong obviously and we will see over the coming weeks.
I agree……cannot use same soak it up and break tactics in next 3 albeit worked a treat.I for 1 need some serious convincing that his team selections and set up will dig us out.Love to know the truth behind Grigg omissions,not so sure it’s all down to new found striker eureka moment. Come on !!…a little more huddersfield luck and we’d have been stuffed so optimism by all means but let’s not get carried away…..we are still in the relegation crap and deservedly so.
