Definitely better than Gomez in that “in the hole” position. I’d much prefer to see Koumas in the starting XI than Gomez. But I’d prefer an extra striker on than Koumas.
Always looks lively when he comes on, and I rate him as long as his head doesn’t go down.
But managers dont seem to want to play him, it isn’t just Roberto-Jewell,Bruce,Megson et al just dont get on wi’im
his attitude to being asked to come on for final 5 mins against Fulham is more likely the reason the guy isn’t doing more on the field.

End product doesn’t justify the laziness. He’s as lazy as Le Tissier was for Southampton, but he used to score 10 a season and set up twice as many.

What a stupid comment to make. Gomez is not as good as Koumas, and Koumas’ end product is good considering he has one of the best shots and THE best cross and delivery on our team.
And Area 51 – What are you talking about? Dont know if he’s attitude about warming up was what you said it was but wouldn’t you be p1ssed off if you only got 5 minutes when ou know you are worthy of a place but the likes of Gomez and Scotland get in above you?Hardly a stupid comment. 31 appearances, two goals. I can think of maybe three or four he’s set up. As I said, end product doesn’t justify the laziness, as he’s cost us more goals than he’s scored with stupid mistakes in stupid parts of the pitch. If you’re going to be a lazy git on the pitch, you’d better make sure you score plenty, or set plenty up, or you’ll find yourself on the bench as he has.
As for Gomez, he’s not played enough to make a judgement, but first impressions for me are better than Koumas.
