…unplayable tonight he was… :cheer:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!4 October 2013 at 4:01 am #121841So why didn’t they give him more of the ball?
4 October 2013 at 10:21 am #121849Second half he was crap, every time he got the ball he passed it back. Let’s see him play like he did in the first half against Blackburn Sunday, I don’t think so. They were like a third division team. They were ok in the last 3rd.
4 October 2013 at 3:22 pm #121873But the Wigan team looked disorganised in the second half, and nearly gave their lead away. Carson saved them yet again.
I wouldn’t criticise Beausejour. He did as much as the teamwork allowed him too.
4 October 2013 at 11:15 pm #121884Fekin hell boys lets give credit where its due. JB has not set the place on fire with big performances week after week, but last night he looked awesome. It’s funny how the glass half empty brigade are quick to talk about the poor standard of opposition when we win.
I really don’t know how good the opposition was last night. Yes they have just sacked their manager, yes they have played in the champions league, yes they are supposed to be the second best team in Slovinia, so where does that put um in the club rankings.?
All I know for sure is that we tore um apart, made um look non league and won our first home game in Europe, lets talk about that fact eh. :cheer:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!4 October 2013 at 11:20 pm #121885As the current Champions and most decorated team in Slovenia, I would argue they’re the best in the Country.
They were pretty poor though.

Or did we make um look poor?

What a journey!4 October 2013 at 11:43 pm #121888Beausejour was sensational in the first half.
But they were shockingly poor – just look at the first goal!
Wigan should have been home and dry by half time but turned down the other free gifts they offered. Amazingly, in the second half, Wigan had to rely on a fantastic save from Carson – yet again – to stop them equalising.
So, a great occasion, but an indifferent football match.

By now, we all recognise you as a Bobby Licker, so why can’t you finf the positive from this performance ???
5 October 2013 at 3:26 am #121906Can’t you make a post without thinking of Roberto?
The more you deny it, the clearer your obsession becomes.
Oh yes, the good points from last night. They’ll never miss so many open goals in a game again. Will they?

Although it doesn’t relate directly club-on-club, it is interesting for our detractors and those who mocked our relegation to consider the order of richest leagues in Europe:
1. Premier League
2. Bundesliga
3. La Liga
4. Serie A
5. Ligue 1
6. Russian Football Premier League
7. ChampionshipSource: Page 6, Deloitte Annual Review of Football Finance 2013

I thought he was OK in the 2nd as well.
It’s the best performance by him I’ve seen I reckon.
As for the team performance in the 2nd half …..
The substitutions didn’t help. The performance dipped when McMananman and Watson went off.
McClean is so one footed it’s untrue and as for McCann …………..
Games like this are made for Gomez though, they gave him the space and time to pick a pass – like for the 2nd goal for example.
It does look like we are improving as a team though. We just need a striker.
5 October 2013 at 4:37 pm #121921Where does Scotland come? You’d better ask Jason himself what he does when he’s on his own, it’s no real business of ours.

What a journey!7 October 2013 at 10:24 am #121994Just like I said in my post Beausejour was awful today, never beat a man, one cross in the first half which missed everyone out it was hit that hard. He is our worst regular player. As soon as McLean went left he started to beat men and get crosses in. Gomez wanted 10 mins on the ball without a challenge. If we had our full team I think we would be pretty good.
Al habsi Boyce Ramis rogue perch Espinoza McArthur mcmanaman Powell Maloney fortune. No Gomez definitely no beausejour.
