When our fitness coach, Joey Gallanagh, left the club, I think that was the start of our problems. Whilst here, he actually based the players training on the statistical analysis of AC Milan. He went to great lengths to get all their stats, details, and programmes, and implemented them here. How fit did our players look in our first couple of seasons?
Didn’t he leave part way through Bruce’s reign? If he did, it would be no surprise, because we were awful for the second half of last season.
Anybody else think I have hit upon something here? As our players do not look fit enough.

22 February 2010 at 4:54 pm #23772I’d say that the poor football in the last half of last season & all of this season has more to do with a really good team being dismantled & those good players being replaced with others who are not up to scratch
Poor teams concede more late goals not coz they’re unfit but coz their concentration levels are poor

you are talking through your backside vat trying to use that as an excuse
i have it on good authority that graham barrow did exactly the same thing and did a
“statistical analysis” of oswestry town, and he even travelled all the way to the welsh borders on his fact finding mission.22 February 2010 at 9:15 pm #23836I have to day no the club doesn’t have a fitness coach atall is very alarming as the english game is all about physicality, this is probably why we fail to see games out and drift off towards the end of games. For example yesterday when we conceded twice in the last 15, and in the 9-1 game we conceded like 6 or 7 second half goals? Most of which were late on.
Needs to be addressed me thinks.
