At Blackburn, £29 for a ticket for a midweek game they are offering to home fans for £10, seems a bit steep.
26 January 2010 at 1:55 pm #19779That’s a very fair moan, to be honest.
Bang out of order, in actual fact.

I was all for that…..till I saw it was £29. They can stick that. At £10 I’d have definitely gone.
I’d laugh if NONE of our fans went……but they will.
BOYCOT it, I say!!!!!! Rip off bas*ards.
26 January 2010 at 1:59 pm #19781Didn’t Whelan give them free pies when they came to our place not long ago, it’s not even £29 and a free pie as far as I know.
26 January 2010 at 2:04 pm #19784No….he retracted the offer. Think he worked out how much he’d lose on it, LOL!
Hope it’s a tiny crowd and that Sky are asking why tomorrow. If they are, then all us Latics fans should bombard them with comments basically saying “why was it £10 for home fans and £29 for away? That’s the reason” I think it’s disgusting.
Are Blackburn the NEW Bolton? I think so. Baron Greenback as manager, up and under style, and dodgy rip-off ticket arrangements. Never minded them as aclub, but think they are bas*ards after this.
26 January 2010 at 2:07 pm #19786Is there not a FA ruling that says that away fans have to have tickets priced the same as home fans? I thought I had heard this before. £29 is expensive for a midweek game at Blackburn though

I thought I had heard this before. £29 is expensive for a midweek game at Blackburn thoughI think it’s a case of them having to have some £29 seats somewhere in the home section.
They’ll get around it by having some seats in their main stand (Walker Stand) that are £29. But Jack, Joe, Bill, and Abdul  in the Blackburn end (Goals) and that little stand on the side, will be paying £10 a man. That includes that retard who was waving at us last season. :D
They can stick it.

Didn’t they gey charged £15 at our place on Boxing Day ?
26 January 2010 at 2:41 pm #19793Its a bit sneaky what theyve done! Blackburn did a 3 for 30 deal like we did earlier in the season but instead of keeping the prices for the individual games as they were they stuck them up to £29 so the away fans made up any money that they lost!
Whelan should be saying that its wrong and sticking up for the Wigan fans but he doesnt care he just remembers playing for them!
26 January 2010 at 3:25 pm #19805There’s a few of us going and although the prices are much higher than last year and as you say a bit of a rip off for a midweek game we do Ewood every year and I think we’ll win so I had no hesitation getting my ticket.
26 January 2010 at 3:29 pm #19807I was going until I found out it was £29, it makes all the wose that they are only charging a tenner for the home fans.
Is it pay on the night at a tenner in the home end or do you have to have pre-purchased your ticket?26 January 2010 at 3:31 pm #19810I was going until I found out it was £29, it makes all the wose that they are only charging a tenner for the home fans.
Is it pay on the night at a tenner in the home end or do you have to have pre-purchased your ticket? If it is pay on the night for home fans (which I would imagine so as can you see Blackburn selling out for this game???) then I wouldn’t blame some of our lot going in the home end, makes sense and I take it that’s what you’re thinking horc?
26 January 2010 at 3:48 pm #19816Anonymous
Its £10 because its a deal 3 for £30. It was advertised when they were playing Villa.
If a Blackburn fan turned up on the night and wanted 1 ticket then they’d be charged the £29 or similar amount26 January 2010 at 3:51 pm #19818Ewood Ticket office is selling ‘2 for £20’, which is tickets for Wigan and Hull matches.
Not that I’d suggest you doing that and going in the home end……. ;)

Their cheapest ticket on the day is £17
which does make ours a rip off, so you are correct!!! -
