What are the chances of him still being here next season. Provided we stay up he is soooo bloody crucial to this squad. I am just hoping that his age puts potential buyers off. Same with Maloney. It would be great to have two key players to be able to build around in a summer for once. Bruce had that luxury once with Valencia, Heskey, Cattermole and Palacios and we flourished.
3 April 2013 at 12:45 am #107335Although contracts mean fook all these days Maloney has signed an extension to his contract not long ago and Kone’s deal was 2 and half years I think
3 April 2013 at 12:52 am #107337IF we’re in Europe then that will hopefully encourage players to stay.
3 April 2013 at 2:08 am #107349And Martin O’Neill isn’t going to sign Maloney for Sunderland.

Would you sell him for £10 million? You’d probably say yes but we’ve struggled so much to find a good striker and spent a lot of money on dross strikers I’d be tempted to say no.

Well obviously it depends who comes in for him and if he wants to go anyway if it is a three year contract then someone will have to put up some decent dosh if they want him in the summer
3 April 2013 at 3:20 am #107373i reckon its time to try and keep our key players regardless of offers made
3 April 2013 at 3:21 am #107374Hopefully we can do that now we’re breaking even.
3 April 2013 at 3:40 am #107380In 2011/12 Manchester City – the eventual Champions – received £60m million in broadcast payments.
Next season each Premier League club is likely to receive a minimum of £60 million in broadcast payments.
That is why it’s so crucial for Wigan to avoid relegation this season.
