That’s how I describe that performance. Stevenage big ,physical side but top of the league???….Really.??…..Sick of repeating same posts….Saydee..gives us absolutely nothing, no goal threat at all,just shields the ball,backs into players then loses possession. …Costelloe puts the effort in but same end result…..and the stats tell it all ….2 strikers ….3 goals!!!!!….The 2 headers were dire…….I’ll stick to my guns Mullen is by far our best striking option but Mr Danson really does need to decide what he really wants ……we need 2 strikers asap…..and that means investing. This league is so open that 3 wins and the play offs could be within our grasp . Unfortunately without fire power today’s tame effort will be continually repeated. …
Yesterday hit home to me how important it has to be to get up to the championship. 92 away fans!!!….Home crowds dwindling. Danson being the shrewd businessman he is must surely recognise that remaining in league 1 for any length of time is a financial disaster. Look at the championship away support…….how many home games will have the away end potentially full…Preston, Rovers,Sheffield, Burnley/Leeds (If relegated)..Wrexham,Birmingham, West Brom etc……That’s 3500 to 4500 tickets, food/Beer …..plus an increasing home support……Stevenage top but how bang average is this league????….6 points of bottom 4 but 6 off play offs!!.We are not a million miles away as some profess…..But our lame forwards will ensure we will remain in and around where we are. An investment in the window on 2-3 key players could potentially reap big rewards……….he must surely see that ….if he chooses to do zip then that sends a message to me. My season tickets x 3….future funds x 3 will be seriously reviewed come May. …..The club feels like an ambitiousless, soulless shadow of what I’ve bought into for over 50 years. Im heading towards my financially concerning retirement and I really think had it not been for my 2 grandchildrens enthusiasm,I may well have start picking my matches. Come on Mr Danson roll the dice like the man remembered by the statue outside…….you never know !!!!!
Stevenage look like a side who defend well then try to nick a goal and in this league it will get you up there.
In their last 7 league games there’s been four 1-0’s and two 0-0’s and a 1-1 so its all about defending.

Another striker brought in and asked to hold it up when it’s as clear as glass that’s not his game. He’d be better getting on to through balls or scraps from crossed balls but I’m still not convinced about him.

For me not good enough in all departments. Doesn’t hold it up, no goal threat and I’ve said it before overweight, no engine in the last third.
It’s a totally unbalanced side and a side not brave on the ball. Too many times I saw players run towards the opposition then turn back rather than have a pop and worse scenario draw a foul.
But for me I’m 100% convinced 2 up top and both can’t hold it or score is the wrong formation. I’d sooner see a loan striker, an attacking mid behind and width with midfielders getting into those dangerous positions.
Wtf is Lowe seeing or thinking????, he can clearly see 2 weak players up top is wrong. But without Tickle in that first half we’d have been 2-3 down.
There’s no answers with this squad, were toothless up top. I think we’d be better with 1 forward then 2 sidemen either side and 2 midfielders pushing up and 1 holding hanging back.
This 2 weak forwards is a disaster
Loads of balls hoofed into the box but no intent to get on the end of any and when they did they made a pigs ear of it.
Stevenage were there for the taking and should have been 3 points yesterday.
Agree with sentiments above , time for the owner to show some ambition because without that it’s back to 6000 crowds and rapid decline.
The proof of the pudding with be,
will any potential money windfall made from the sell on of Charlie Hughes go to Lowe as Hughes looks like he could be leaving Hull in the next 6-7months.
Lets see if Lowe does get anything or if its all simply put back into the daily running of the club and propping up the money losing rugby.
If it is put back into the clubs upkeep could they please fix all the fooked TVS under the stands and turn those fookin bellend adverts off and lets have some half time reports and scores please….ffs

Absolute drivel
Painful watch again. Thought we would kick on 2nd half but totally the opposite. Burton will be disappointed they didn’t get something. Costelloe certainly puts a shift in but no real quality, Saydee assist for goal but not much else. Free flowing football my arse……not with this midfield. Thought Murray was a potential transfer future money spinner but he is totally anonymous and has been for quite a few games. Matt Smith retreating again into the Maloney extra defender role……20 yds too deep .Still 3pts and proves how poor league 1 is that we are closing in on the play offs even after 2 abject performances in 3 days. How many points does Tickle gift us ????Certainly gets overlooked by some who concentrate on our outfield issues. I think we will need to up the ante Saturday as Barrow will come with belief they can upset us. Then again I thought that Saturday about Tuesday and same dull performance.
