Suppose mine was Jason Roberts and the reason. That goal at Arsenal.
Close seconds where Nathan Ellington and that Goal against Reading that sealed our promotion to this dreadful league and of course Sir Andrew Liddle.
What about Graeme Jones , Roberto Martinez and Stuart Barlow.
Would any player from the last 5 years make an hero list. Plenty would make a parasite journeyman list but any heroes amongst them?11 January 2011 at 7:51 pm #55194arjan DEZZUW for me! he was immense for us the first time around, and even better in the prem, what a defender we had its only now you realise how good he was compared to the shambles we have at the back now oh and he wasnt scared of that little shoite diouf :lol:

12 January 2011 at 1:04 am #55217I only started to watch Latics in 2005.
David Unsworth, for keeping us in the bestest league in the world.

12 January 2011 at 1:24 am #55222Colin Greenall – The first person i watched in a Latics shirt with the ultimate passion.
12 January 2011 at 3:00 am #55232Come on chaps. The original post asks for players from the last five years.
I clearly ignored this too, so now I’ll agree with Griff on David Unsworth for the same reason, although Heskey’s performance that day was monumental, so he gets a honourable mention as well.
Valencia and Palacios could qualify for the umpteen millions they brought into the club/Whelan’s back pocket* in transfer fees :D
* delete according light/dark tendancies.
