Altricham or Canvey Island
I think Alty was probably the worse. Canvey Island as I recall was still a bit of a surprise and they managed to hang on. Against Alty we just didn’t have a clue. Hmm…. where have I heard that before?
I seem to remember that the away end was so low down that you were looking almost a knee level to the players (the top of the pitch wall was at ground level) – or maybe my memory is playing tricks.

The Canvey Island game is up there for me personally has it was my 21st birthday aswell totally ruined my day
For me it has to be Telford Utd, we mullered em and got done and to make maters worse the guy who got the winner was a lad from Nuneaton and a friend of mine

The Replay at Bury night match cant remember the score but it was a cold night and we got beatis that the game were the draw had been made and winners played manure away? was freezing and had been called off twice before? dont think it was a replay not sure though
The Bury away game was one of our first seasons as a League club. I remember it well. FREEZING COLD. All the Latics players were slipping and sliding about on an icy pitch. Bury had special studs on their boots. Which Latics players got after.

No that game a certain Danny Sonners crossed the ball that led to the goal remember it well Danny who started his career at the latics . The game which i was asking about was agood few years before then .I do remember summat about Bury wearing adequate footwear. and they say that was the reason for the loss of the game,hope this refreshes minds cause minds blank. :? :? :lol:
