The Liverpool Echo have published an up date (saying absolutely nothing new) but it was interesting to see the final paragraph:
Manchester United legend and former Sunderland and Ipswich boss Roy Keane said: “Timing is everything for a manager and now is the time for Martinez to go. If I were him I’d jump at the chance to go to Liverpool. It might not be the best time in the club’s history but it’s still a great job.”
Why am I bothered – well my son called me (not a happy bunny) yesterday to tell me that he had heard that Whelen had dinner with Keane on Friday night at the Wrightington Hotel.
I hope I’m putting 2 + 2 and getting 5 because the last thing we need is a joker who has managed to destroy 2 teams.
29 May 2012 at 8:10 pm #88246It may have taken a couple of thousand years but it seems this omnipresence fad is finally taking off…..

30 May 2012 at 12:59 am #88287I was was sat behind Graham Jones and Graham Barrow at the Soccer Aid game at OT on Sunday.
Is it a coincidence that they both left after 23 mins when Roy Keane hobbled off injured?. :dry:Now me thinks they either shot off to give him a free season ticket for the west Stand next season, or they were checking him playing in the sweeper type role to see if he can fit snugly behind Antolin and Garry.
