FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
13 March 2012 at 1:37 am #83095And yet, earlier I happened to be out in the car and listening to Radio 5 previewing tonight’s Arsenal game and the “expert pundits” were discussing the bottom of the table.
One comment that was made (in complete opposition to the “everyone’s laughing at us” viewpoint that has been expressed on here) was that people who know the game look at Bolton, Blackburn and, yes, Wigan and consider that they could get out of it (the quote was “Wigan – because of the way they play” – their words not mine) while Wolves and QPR have deep problems that will mean they struggle.
A further view was then put forward that teams who have been at the bottom all season may hit a few good results and gain confidence, while others who haven’t known that pressure will crumble when results start going against them.
We ain’t done for yet.

i would disagree with the bit in the article were it says
“Okay, he’s got his flaws but I think it’s the players he has to work with that let him down.”
i personally don’t think the squads all that bad. If he picked our strongest team week in week out and stopped pissin around like a bored school kid and devised a “plan B” then i dont think we’d in this shitpit without a ladder.
13 March 2012 at 10:22 pm #83115Garswood, that’s the kind of patronizing comment I made reference to in the article. The fact is, playing ‘nice football’ doesn’t automatically earn you any points, so I don’t see the validity behind the comment you mentioned. Personally, I think QPR have the firepower and fight to stay up, I just can’t see Sparky taking them down.
Bing, I think we have to agree to disgaree here. I think individually, our team is poor. Okay, we may have a few good players (Moses, Diame, Rodallega, on their day). But they’re outnumbered by the pure sh1te that dominates the squad (Alcaraz, Caldwell, Watson, Di Santo, Sammon).
14 March 2012 at 12:18 am #83215Whilst I’ll accept that Alcaraz and Caldwell are prone to errors ,to call them pure sh1te is totally uncalled for and indeed is bordering on ridiculous.
For what it’s worth I also reckon the other three , whilst no longer regular starters are certainly decent squad players who can be called on to do the odd stint.
