First one looks on to me, second one you can’t really tell but unless he’s stood still you would guess he is on from the movement of the defender near side.
Yes, linesmen make mistakes and if they do it’s usually marginal but how can someone sat in the stands, even if they are in line with the incident, claim to see these things any better?
The only thing this clip shows with any kind of certainty is that Pennant clearly fouls Maguire in the run up to the goal.

Well for the first one, pausing it when it hits Fortune’s head and then drawing a line parallel with the pitch from the defender to McClean will help ;)

He was offside from Bong’s pass ………you can just see his feet behind the defender.
As this boards resident refereeing expert!!
The first one is definitely offside. Not by much but offside nonetheless
You can’t tell from that footage for the second one – the first point at which you can see Waghorn he’s definitely in an offside position but from his body position at that point he looks like he’s run into that position as opposed to being stood still so there’s a chance he may have been offside although there’s no way of telling for sure
I looked straight at the linesman for the first as to me it looked off side? The second for me wasn’t, when the ball came in from the right Waghorn was level if not behind the two centrals and it looked like the linesman put his flag up cos both centrals put their hands in the air….. Poor decision that cost us a point.
If that was in the prem there would av been replay after replay to prove either way.
