Apparently cried like a baby, fell to his knees screaming and punching the floor, when the judge delivered the Wigan striker’s 18 month jail sentence. Seems like besides struggling to score goals for the Latics from open play he also can’t take penalties very well either!!. :lol: :P :o :D :mrgreen:

…Since when has a footballer ever completed a sentence?
Rafa Benitez says he’d be very interested in signing Marlon King after he’s served his sentence.
He’s been trying to sign a proven striker for ages.
It’s ironic that he’s ended up BEHIND bars.
I mean, his trouble occurred IN a bar.
And for the past couple of seasons, he’s struggled to get one UNDER the bar.
Is he officially our worst ever striker ?

All that said, for the 5 million or so we spent on King, you would have expected so much more. I really hope that Whelan can, and does sue him. Chelsea are still sueing Adrian Mutu, and apparently, he’s still in the process of paying them 14 million, that he is judged to owe them, after his cocaine abuse ban.

Sad thing is, both obviously had some decent ability….yet have wasted it. Shame on them.

in fact after giving it a little thought , scotland and gomez may be the next 2 jailed,
there must be some offence for impersonating a premiership footballer.
