        It has to be Caldwell. The captain doesn’t necessarily have to be the best player, just someone with a voice and who can influence. He’s captained a much bigger club than Wigan in the past, and a national team.

        Everyone doubted Melchiot’s captaincy credentials in the past, as he was silent on the pitch. Bramble isn’t much more vocal.
