Hello,
My name is Jess and I am part of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pies. The Sisterhood is a blogging website that creates content on pies in all different stadiums in lots of different sports. Within the sisterhood there are four of us all studying Football Business and Marketing at UCFB.
Our degree doesn’t just involve assignments and exams, it is also about gaining experience in the Football Industry and meeting people who are profoundly involved in the careers we intend to pursue.
We recently went to see Wigan Athletic play, you can check that our here:http://www.sisterhoodofpies.co.uk/?p=803
We would love any feedback in making the site or content better or even any other types of blogs you would want us to pursue.
Many Thanks
sisterhoodofthetravellingpies@gmail.com27 February 2018 at 7:37 pm #167009To be honest if you’re going to advertise your own blog without clearing it with the Mods first (a common enough thing on any site or group) then you could at least have something positive to say about us.
The content of your post doesn’t really say much: “KT said her pie was ‘alright’” is hardly cutting edge journalism and if you want to meet ‘people who are profoundly involved in the careers we intend to pursue’ then can I suggest you spread the net wider than a steward who let you in and a pie seller.
Article rating 1/527 February 2018 at 7:50 pm #167011Well then, pies are not what the DW is made of. Overpriced mass produced rubbish more likely. Just a shame you couldn’t have visited a few years ago when Poole’s ruled supreme.
If in the area again try the marvelous Bowens Pork Pies(and other varieties) from Adlington or the not too bad but pricey range from Glover’s around Chorley and Leyland.
If you want a pork pie that knocks spots of any Melton Mowbray pie visit Staniforths butchers in Simply Loveleah land Skipton. Warm from the oven they’re just the best porky ever.
Potts pies take a bit of beating in Lancaster too.27 February 2018 at 8:10 pm #167012Lacey’s meat and potato, down near C&A, or the old bakehouse at orrell.
