I’d forgot about the knife incident, how the ‘ell did the Copper believe it was a fag lighter.
The Port Vale pepper boys were a few years later when big Mark H was watching the Latics before he became a full time egg mon.
Mark H beaning himself telling others to go and get the old bill.

I geet one int gob at Morecambe in 1973. Serious hooliganism in the seventies. I remember the Rugby post after the second replay at Ewood against The Shrimps reporting the Latics fans being arrested with machetes etc.
