(There is actually a real book in a similar vein called ‘Eats, Shoots & Leaves’. Punctuation geekery at its finest)
Actually a very entertaining book
3 June 2010 at 1:24 am #35443It was a joint effort with Jimmy, although Vaughnie alsowe wrote Punk Football. Shamefully, I get the titles of Jimmy’s books mixed up without the ability to turn round and look at them on my bookcase. You’ll find them on Mudhuts Media easily enough.Thank you, well I’ve read that then it seems. I’ll have a look at that other one, what’s your first effort about then, is it football related or of some other nature.

It certainly is Garswood, but I’m sure there are many who would close it forever after the first page.

how about it being called (the dream continues) or (wigan athletic my dream my life)
My tip would be to break up the text with pictures / premiership tables, maybe quotes etc as although other footy books are good reads, they may be dry.
You should ask for this to be put on the Club Official Website or in the matchday programme, if it’s any good.
Im liking all three of these ideas and ill deffo be using all the ideas. Im liking the title “Wigan Athletic. My Dream. My Life.”
3 June 2010 at 12:20 pm #35455If I was doing this book I would be getting in the ear of Graham Jones or Graham Barrow
I would be asking them for a small paragraph each week – to reflect on the week and the game that has just past
It would have to be the Ed Jones style – not towing the party line like a press quote
You never ever know how the season will work out – RM gets the sack, major behind the scenes up heavel, transfer windows etc etc – it would just give it that extra oomph

The second one will be about the frustrations of being a football fanatic with domestic and other responsibilities getting in the way – loosely :)

I’d certainly buy it, but I would enjoy it more if a free copy was forthcoming.
3 June 2010 at 5:07 pm #35567. Would anyone be interested in having a read once published?Aye, I’d read it, I would also consider paying for it but if you was to provide a free copy…Hoorah.
