Thats only to stop away fans from getting in our end. Personally i’d let them in then throw them out if there scouse. Whelans get 25 quid per head & theres no refund for away fans.
So what if they get in the home seats?
It used to happen in the old days when the chances of receiving a slap were far greater than today.I remember PNE coming int the home areas at springfield in the dreadful mid nineties when they were doing well.I dont remember any trouble and they scored at the death(Kilbane i think) although the usual stuff happened near the train station.
My Dad was an Evertonian who moved up here like most scousers to escape that dreadful city and bring his kids up in a better area.Loads of Evertonians in the Wigan area so most of them will be locals anyway.
As long as they keep stum what is the problem?
I think Vince, this has a lot to do with the first season they came to Wigan, I remember being told by someone who was working in the North Stand that night that Everton fans were the worst he’d ever seen at Wigan, and that includes the likes of Millwall, Cardiff, Leeds etc.
