4 February 2010 at 10:56 pm #21410Why oh why keep going on about Jason Scotland? Just because some people do not get on his back and deride him doesn’t automatically mean that they think he is as good as Alan Shearer etc. Please change the record and post something positive about Moreno or Moses.PS Don’t tell me Koumas is Premier League standard !
So we are not allowed to have a go at Scotland who has done nothing for us goal wise (except the one against Notts County), yet you can slate Koumas??
Koumas has scored more premier league goals this season and last season that Scotland ever has or ever will. If Koumas is not Premier class, then Scotland is not South Lancs class.[/quote]
And by the same yardstick Emile Heskey would be running the line at Laithwaite Park on a sunday morning instead of being Englands No. 1 centre forward. FFS its not all about scoring 25 goals a season!!
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!4 February 2010 at 11:02 pm #21413Sadly it is about scoring 5-10 goals if you are a Premier League striker and he won’t get that. HOWEVER, there’s no point dragging the Scotland debate on, he’s had his chance (and been hung out to dry by Martinez in my opinion with the lack fo support up front) so we should move on.
Talking of moving on, I’m actually looking forward to going to Sunderland on Saturday and giving the lads a bit of support. 30 odd thousand of them and a few hundred of us, always the best days out when you manage to sneak a win!
4 February 2010 at 11:13 pm #21418i dont’t think so griff, all the hallmarks of the lesser spotted multi me thinks ;)Bob, you may not realise it but you are suffering from a dose of “misplaced objectives”. You cannot win an argument so you attempt to discredit your opponent and hence by association discredit what he says. My tongue was very firmly in my cheek when I said late forties, in fact that was when I was born – is your maths any better than your debating skills? What should have been my first game was in 1955 when I got a free ticket from junior school. I went on my bike (god knows what i was going to do with it when i got there) but fell off trying to negotiate the rail lines on the “sewerage pad” and limped home crying instead. I walked to the next home game and arrived safely. Please don’t ask me who played or what the score was because I haven’t a clue.
PS If you read back through my posts you will find a consistency which a multi lacks.

Of course you are allowed to have a go at Jason Scotland but how many times have you got to say the same thing? We heard you and some of us may actually agree with you but please enough is enough it really is quite boring now. At the risk of being equally boring and repeating myself, in our present league position we should be supporting our team even if we do not think they are up to it. If you would care to read any of my previous posts you will find that I have never actually given my opinion of Jason Scotland – I have merely tried to get people off his back during matches because it does nothing to improve performances. I also think that Martinez has lost patience as well, hence his latest signings, so why keep attacking him?

Don’t understand – it was for Springfield Park. The Sewerage Pad (path) led from Scot Lane to the White Bridge over the canal via the old sewerage works. Our junior school didn’t play rugby. :?:
EDIT: Sorry – penny just dropped – my dad bought me a ticket !!
