Or maybe they’re just not offering as much money as the greedy git wants. Another heartless, spineless mercenary. Best rid.
28 August 2010 at 2:14 pm #44425Such a big club that can find th emoney to buy him, but not for his wages. Are you telling me that they didn’t know his wage demands before he went???
All this has done is mess with his head for a few weeks and had his agent seeing pound signs and giving his player the speel (none of them have the best interest of the players, just their own bank accounts), the transfer window should end the week BEFORE the season starts, not 3 weeks into it.

I agree, something stinks here, whether zog at the last minute has thought he could squeeze out a little more from the deal and his bluff failed i don’t know.
This puts us in the position of finding another suitor quickly, but they will have the same problem of wages and a possible mercenary on their hands, or the other solution is to bring him back into the fold, tell him he can go in January if he plays his cotton socks off, to prove these extra wages he demands.
28 August 2010 at 2:39 pm #44430on tuesday bruce will come in late on with a poor offer,
hoping whelan will snatch it,and i think he will.28 August 2010 at 2:49 pm #44431Anonymous
This is the state of football at the minute, as far as Wigan are concerned financially, they have no other option than to sell a wantaway player because otherwise this player doesn’t give his all, and his value decreases.
We have to convince Zog that if he does really want one of the big boys to come knocking, his best bet is to knuckle down and prove his worth. This is where Bob’s strength as a manager can be redeemed a little, if he were to pull this situation round.I’m not holding my breath though.
