On the day Colchester beat Leeds in the FA Cup

Col Roughly had his Latics college type scarf nicked whilst walking back to the car after our match at Highbury in February 1971.
Col chased the Fleetwood Mon and retrieved his scarf.
Leeds were the equivalent of City or Chelsea etc in those days and Colchester were in the old fourth division. Latics and Fleetwood were in the N.P.L.
Col and I were at Wellfield school in Leyland and probably the only two Latics fans there at the time apart from the History teacher Joe Lowe from Standish who always had a runny nose when asleep on the 113.
