How’s about Joe (guiseppe) Palladino. Took up boxing after football and was just as bad at that!
26 December 2010 at 2:12 pm #54006We have had some good ‘keepers over the years and Roy Carroll would be definitely up there with the best.
Whether he is the best is debatable, but he would be in the top six in my opinion.
26 December 2010 at 2:42 pm #54007I agree there Horc, go on who’s in your top six.?

I was thinking of adding John Brown, but I thought one ex Nobender was enough.

27 December 2010 at 2:59 pm #54048I have family in Denmark, one cousin being an ex player and manager in the game. And I was really shocked to hear Carroll moved to OB, the lifestyle and attitude towards to the game could not be more different to over hear.
To see an admitted alcoholic and gambler go over there I thought was a last ditch option for a desperate player. But from all reports he’s doing extremely well. I think its great to see an ex latic player over come his demons and get his football career back on track. Fair play to the lad! I look forward to going over there in May to see the OB v Copenhagen game.
27 December 2010 at 3:47 pm #54051There aren’t many Managers who are smart enough or brave enough to bring in players from their biggest rivals reserve team, loan or otherwise.
