Since we’re taking 3750 to City tomorrow, does anyone know, say in the last 10 years the highest away followings we’ve had? Not including the finals that is.
8 March 2014 at 4:22 pm #128246Our following depends upon our allocation of tickets as well as the enthusiasm of our fans.
We could have taken more fans to the Etihad tomorrow. We were offered 6,000 tickets.
8 March 2014 at 4:25 pm #128248No trains to Victoria from Wallgate tomorrow.Bus service.
Trains running to Piccadilly though.
8 March 2014 at 5:21 pm #128250Trains for Piccadilly depart from North Western at
12.58
13.58
14.58The journey takes half an hour. It’s 20 minutes walk from Piccadilly to the Etihad.
You can take a Metrolink tram from underneath Piccadilly station. But the trams can already be full when they arrive. You may have to wait some time.
9 March 2014 at 12:40 am #128304I think the 3000 to blackburn when we relegated them is our highest in the last 10 years. Think we came close to it at bolton
9 March 2014 at 12:59 am #128307I’m thinking Huddersfield, we took about 4-5k but that might be over ten years ago? Really? How time flies

Leeds away October 2004. 4500I think there was a similar following at Huddersfield in our Division 2 promotion season.
Ever
Everton away FA cup January 1980 -25,000I don’t think there was an official record of the away following that day but the generally reported turn out was about 20,000.
10 March 2014 at 8:02 pm #128447I went both games , am I right in thinking the Huddersfield away they let you pay on the day ?. I seem to remember the back of the stand full and lots couldn’t even see the game.
As for the Everton, the word sardines comes to mind. As a young lad the one thing I remember about the Everton game was running back to the coaches full pelt hearing ” KILL THE F**KIN WOOLEY BACCCCKS !!” while repeatedly having my coccyx kicked for the best part of 1/2 a mile only to find my coach had left.
10 March 2014 at 11:01 pm #128461Didn’t we take 4’000 to Blackburn in 98.
10 March 2014 at 11:23 pm #128464The fa cup game at ewood, think we took over 5,000
