Tactically inept ! Simple as that !
correct me if i’m wrong here, but weren’t you one of those who almost had an orgasm when he was appointed/
Soon changed your tune. Give the lad a chance, were you perfect when learning your trade.?[/quote]
Not me mate ! I dont believe I commented on him. If you can show me the evidence then I will hold my hand up. The main thing you could be missing here is that no one could have known his tactics here would be questionable at that juncture ! I am pretty sure I didnt shoot my load as you wrongly say !10 November 2009 at 12:21 am #12678Can I just say that the footy is better to watch but the point is that his tactics leave a lot to be desired ! ” different things that seem to have been merged in this debate ! TACTICS DISCUSS !!
10 November 2009 at 3:17 am #12688Can I ask why some people on here seem to be so obsessed with Tamudo? Who has actually seen him play and not just based their verdict on him being Espanyol’s record scorer?I’ve seen him play. He’s a great player good vision and intelligence on the field.
10 November 2009 at 2:08 pm #12699Roberto stated on SSN on Friday, that Tamudo is NOT a player we are looking at. Said we were monitoring “many players”, but he is not one of them.
Makes sense. A 32 year old striker, with no Premeirship experience?
No thanks.

You’ve obviously not seen him play for a while. The season Espanyol got to the final of the UEFA Cup, Tamudo was fantastic. The trio of him, Luis García and De la Peña were superb. However, age, injuries and a shocking attitude have caught up with el auténtico Raúl and he’s not the player he once was.
Last season he was woeful. Shown up for pace at every opportunity and then a mid-season injury ruled him out for a couple of months and on his return his speed had well and truly dried up, leaving him only with the ability to dive (and his ability at diving was nothing spectacular). This season, well, as anyone who follows Spanish football will know , he’s played 2 or 3 bit-part games for RCDE and will never ever return to be the terrace idol he was. Of all the 30-odd thousand socios, I’d say only a handful of La Curva Jove would want him to stay. Quite a fall from grace.
I’d like him to sign for Wigan just so I could (for once) buy a shirt and have Tamudo 23 on the back but other than that – leave him well be.
