I went, usual numpty questions from audience,Bob very slick he is is a PR mans dream is bob, very honest as usual,mr jones came across very well he looks fitter now than he did when he was banging them in for us,worthy cause very enjoyableWas a really enjoyable night, my mrs said Bob should be a film star she could watch and listen to him all night, and OKAL I must agree with your descripyion of him he is one class act when dealing with media and fans alike.
Two low points to the evening the numpty who asked Martinez, what Gomez brought to the team, and the idiot who had a dig at Kevin Sharp and then Paul Kendrick saying they both claimed Wigan was a rugby town, Paul who’s son was the reason for the event, looked visibly upset as he grabbed the microphone to rebut the accusation.

11 April 2013 at 12:03 pm #108740Who was there from the BBC? They’ve quoted Mathias almost perfectly:
When Wigan partied like it was 1999. . .
Ray Mathias, who was Wigan’s boss when they beat Millwall 1-0 in the 1999 Football League Trophy, will be at Wembley on Saturday hoping his former club can repeat their feat of 14 years ago.
“I’ve seen Millwall a few times this season and I can assure you it won’t be an easy game,” Mathias said. “You can’t forget the Millwall supporters. They’re very highly strung and they always give their team fantastic support, which makes it very difficult for the opposition.”
