      …bleedin eck just watched all the game back again like a saddo and watched the tackle by Perch on Kone around the 50 min mark.

      Whilst not the same speed as the Macmanaman tackle, he hits Kone just below the knee with every stud on his boot. I vaguely remember Kone being down injured for a while, but didn’t really see the tackle. A straight red in anybody’s books.
      If anyone has taped the game play it back and see what you think. :woohoo:

              Fookin Geordies. Should be banned for life for that. I used to like them, but now I hope they go down. B)

              (Wasn’t perch already on a yellow when that happened? Seem to recall shouting off off off at the telly at one point)

                That tackle was not the only one, have a look at the stamp down onto scharners ankle by ameobe late in the game, I deleted my sky + recording by mistake earlier so can’t tell you exacly when.

                Following on from that, we were away from the ground sharpish on sunday, but while we were in a bit of traffic I got to use my new smartphone in anger for the first and was having a look round the message boards, really to just to see what caused the half time goings on, like many others I thought maccas tackle was a cruncher but probably fair, a little like the Ryo tackle at everton.

                I saw that the message boards were awash with the tackle in its slow motion, different angle format, the one being showed every 10 minutes on SSN at the moment, that makes it look much worse than in real time.

                On checking later I found that the footage began to emerge into cyberworld less than 10 minutes after it happened, I would like to ask others with more ‘IT nous’ than myself how is this stuff uploaded onto a message board so quickly, and does anyone know how to show the incidents(nasty newcastle fouls) that have dissapeared under the media radar for smoe reason.

                  Fouls Wigan 7 Newcastle 12

                  The Independent; But Carver’s extraordinary, premediated attack on a 20-year-old – the most appalling conduct of the day – prompted a series of unsavoury challenges by the Newcastle team: Gutierrez on Shaun Maloney, James Perch on Beausejour and substitute Shola Ameobi on Paul Scharner.

                  They’ll get a physical game against Millwall too. Again from the Independent, Millwall 0 Blackburn 0;

                  Rob Hulse’s elbow collided with Scott Dann, meaning the Blackburn defender had to play most of the game with bandages around his forehead. This was by no means a unique incident.

                  Appleton was aggrieved, though, especially after Shane Lowry’s bad tackle on Bentley early in the second half, for which he was booked. Rovers substitute Bradley Orr then went off with a suspected cracked rib and struggling to breathe after a fierce challenge with Danny Shittu.

                  Blackburn were not entirely innocent – both sides were over-enthusiastic in their tackling – and four Rovers players were booked to Millwall’s three. There will not be many games this season with quite this many fouls. Millwall conceded 19 and Blackburn 14 as two sides – both lacking in form and confidence – struggled to find any rhythm.
