Assuming the photo on the official site is how it is at the moment it’s not looking promising. Some pretty obvious frost patches.
This cold snap is here for a few weeks, so we will have to play the cup game with the undersoil heating on no matter what.

What a journey!JRFF …. your posts are great but your ‘avatar’ thingy is the best. I can see your frustration about almost everything, but it only makes me laugh!!!!
The only reasons that there can possibly be for a pitch inspection is that either the undersoil heating isn’t working at all, its not being maintained properly or somebody didn’t switch it on in time
Bit of a shocker to be honest!!
Without those big heat lamps, there’s no way the game would be on. Not a patch of grass has thawed out all day, with temperatures colder than Russia last night.
I’d suggest they leave them on as near to kick off as possible.
Rain forecast for later and temp to rise.On my phone app the temperature has gone from -5 to -1 in the last couple of hours. By the time ko comes it probably will be a couple of degrees above freezing.

What a journey!By KO it’ll be hot (comparatively). Wear your shorts and t shirt.I will be, underneath my thermals, 2 pair of jeans, 4 jumpers and 6 pairs of socks. Just been to Wynsors and bought a pair of shoes 3 sizes bigger than I would normally wear.Can just about squeeze in um!

What a journey!God lad …. a guy near me on Saturday had about 6 layers and in between layers 4 & 5 was his hot water bottle!
